Free Zac Pettus Group
The “Free Zac Pettus Group” has been established to raise and provide financial assistance in freeing Mr. Zachary Pettus from prison where he has been incarcerated since 1985 at 19 years old. The group feels that Mr. Pettus was wrongly convicted, and has engaged a private investigator to uncover sufficient evidence that will prove his innocence. The group will get larger as we proceed in the investigations. This is a nonprofit organization.

Zachary Francisco Pettus is currently housed in a correctional facility in the State of California , having been convicted on January 17, 1985 of violating California Penal Code Sections 187, 211, and 459; special circumstances found; to wit use of a deadly weapon. It is the contention of this group that the convictions are the results of an over zealous police investigation and flawed witness identification and poor representation by his attorney. The indictment and conviction arose from the robbery and murder of 37 year old Darlene Hazboun (victim), a boutique owner in Huntington Beach, California.
